WIPCOOL MVG-1 Digital Vacuum Gauge

Main Features

  • USB type-C charging and data upgrading port
  • Large LCD backlight display
  • Intelligent judgement of H2O status.
  • High accuracy.

Cautionary Advice:

Vehicles parked in direct sunlight can reach internal temperatures of 55°C to over 70°C within an hour, even when outside temperatures are only moderately warm.

Vacuum gauges have a maximum temperature rating of 50° celsius. Please do not keep vacuum gauges inside parked vehicles.

Note to All Customers

The WIPCOOL MVG-1 Digital Vacuum Gauge is highly sensitive to heat and can easily be permanently damaged if left inside a hot car.

Temperature Limits

According to the WIPCOOL MVG-1 Technical Manual, the tool's maximum threshold limits are:
  • Operating Temperature: -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C)
  • Storage Temperature: 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C)
When a car is parked in the sun, internal cabin temperatures can rapidly climb past 140°F to 160°F (60°C to 71°C). This environment severely violates the device's safe storage limit of 122°F (50°C).

The Risks of Leaving it inside a Vehicle

Storing this high-precision instrument in a hot vehicle introduces several critical risks:
  • Lithium Battery Degradation: The device features a built-in 1,000mAh rechargeable lithium battery. Extreme heat can degrade battery life permanently, cause it to bloat, or in worst-case scenarios, trigger a thermal runaway fire hazard.
  • Sensor Drift and Damage: The internal high-precision vacuum sensor relies on precise electronic calibration. Extreme cabin heat can warp internal parts or dry out the delicate oil-proof protective film, ruining its accuracy.
  • LCD Failure: The high-definition backlit display is prone to liquid crystal bleeding or fading when exposed to extreme temperatures, rendering the screen completely unreadable.

Best Practices for Storage

  • Bring it Indoors: Treat the gauge like a smartphone; always take it into a climate-controlled room after finishing field work.
  • Use the Pouch: Keep it in its original protective pouch to insulate it from mild temperature fluctuations.
  • LCD Failure: The high-definition backlit display is prone to liquid crystal bleeding or fading when exposed to extreme temperatures, rendering the screen completely unreadable.
