Information on Thermoelectric Tripping Devices (Electronic Fusible Links) 
    • How it works: These devices combine an electrical switch with internal temperature sensors. They are placed inside or right outside air ventilation ducts.
    • The Trip Mechanism: If the duct or ambient air temperature exceeds a pre-determined threshold (typically 72°C / 165°F), the device opens its electrical contacts. This immediately cuts power to a spring-return actuator, causing it to snap close.
