Petross SHP610420 High Pressure Switch
The Petross SHP610420 is an encapsulated High Pressure Cut-out/Safety Switch designed specifically for high-pressure refrigerants like R-410A. Due to its high 610 PSI cut-out threshold, this control is built for modern R-410A air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and high-pressure commercial refrigeration units. This automatic reset switch threads directly onto the high-pressure liquid line or compressor discharge line service valve, with wiring connected into the 24V control circuit or compressor contactor coil.
It provides safety shutdown to prevent dangerous over-pressurization and compressor destruction caused by failed or stalled outdoor condenser fan motors, dirty or blocked outdoor condenser coils, extreme ambient temperatures combined with high heat loads, and system overcharging or non-condensable gases (air) in the lines. If head pressure reaches 610 PSI, the switch opens to break the safety loop and shut down the compressor. Once head pressure drops back to 420 PSI (±15 PSI tolerance), it automatically closes to allow the system to resume normal operation.
