Petross SHP425300 High Pressure Switch
The Petross SHP425300 is an encapsulated High Pressure Safety Limit Control switch designed for HVAC/R systems, including residential, commercial, and light industrial air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units. This automatic reset switch installs directly onto a flare fitting on the high-pressure liquid or discharge line of the compressor circuit, with electrical leads wired into the system’s control board or compressor contactor circuit. It acts as a high-pressure safety cutout, protecting the compressor from damage caused by excessive system pressure due to issues such as a failed condenser fan motor, dirty outdoor coil, airflow blockage, or system overcharge.
When discharge pressure exceeds 425 PSI, the switch opens to break the control circuit and shut down the compressor. Once pressure drops back to 300 PSI (±15 PSI tolerance), the switch automatically closes to restore circuit continuity — no manual reset required.
