There’s an app for that.
It’s Called Belimo Assistant 2

The Belimo Assistant 2 app is a cross-platform HVAC lifecycle management tool designed for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Belimo field devices. It operates across smartphones, tablets, and Windows PCs.

The platform supports communication through NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (via the LINK.10 converter), or a wired USB connection.

What the Belimo  Assistant 2 App Can Do

The application utilizes a workflow-based design to manage hardware from installation to maintenance:

  • Guided Commissioning: Features step-by-step setup wizards to configure critical system parameters, such as adjusting maximum/minimum flow rates or setting custom Delta-T thresholds.
  • Copy/Paste Configuration: Features a built-in “Copy/Paste Configuration” function that captures settings from a source device and flashes them directly onto identical target models to drastically cut engineering time.
  • Network Parameter Addressing: Manages digital network configurations directly from the application interface, supporting protocol addressing for MP-Bus, BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP.
  • Live Trend Overrides: Accesses real-time graphical “Live Trends” of system operation, allowing field technicians to perform local testing overrides and instantly share diagnostic logs.
  • Health and Diagnostics Monitoring: Scans the active state of hardware power supplies, communication bus lines, and integrated sensors to surface active errors alongside suggested technical troubleshooting steps.
  • Paperless Documentation: Exports digital commissioning logs and formal factory calibration certificates to the cloud using integrated sharing extensions.
  • Device Identification: Pull exact identification data immediately, including serial numbers, device types, hardware positions, and bus addresses.
  • Live Trending: Visualize real-time performance metrics via a “Live Trend” interface and locally override hardware operations for testing.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor system Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to instantly evaluate device operation health status.
  • Smart Troubleshooting: Scan for active system faults to receive detailed diagnostic error reports along with recommended potential solutions.
  • Digital Paperwork: Instantly pull digital device documentation, commissioning reports, and factory calibration certificates.
  • Easy Sharing: Export and share scanned device configurations or live diagnostic trends with off-site team members via integrated share links.

What It Can Connect With

The Belimo Assistant 2 interface bridges legacy infrastructure and modern hardware across three core connection types:

Supported Connection Methods

  • Direct NFC (Near Field Communication): Connects wirelessly by positioning a mobile device directly against the actuator.
    • Powered Mode: Allows full setup, parameter adjustments, trend reading, and report generation.
    • Powerless Mode: Reads and writes configuration profiles when the hardware is unpowered (straight out of the box).
  • Bluetooth Gateway: Pairs with smartphones via the LINK.10 converter. The Belimo LINK.10 is a multi-protocol service converter engineered for the quick commissioning, troubleshooting, and configuration of modern Belimo HVAC actuators, valves, sensors, and meters. It officially serves as the unified successor to older diagnostic tools like the legacy ZIP-BT-NFC converter, ZTH hand-held tool, and the ZIP-USB-MP module.

2. Compatible HVAC Field Hardware

The software communicates natively with all major modern and legacy Belimo product classes:

  • Control Valves: Electronic pressure-independent valves (EPIVs), energy valves, and standard zone motorized valves.
  • Damper Actuators: Variable Air Volume (VAV) controllers, linear actuators, and standard rotary damper assemblies.
  • Sensors: In-duct, pipe, or room sensors tracking temperature, humidity, pressure, and indoor air quality.
  • Meters: Inline thermal energy meters and ultrasonic flow measurement equipment.
